How to set up my branding within Clientjoy?

We will cover all the above-mentioned points one after the other.

1. Setting up a Brand Identity

Navigate to the settings icon on the top right corner of your navigation bar and click on the Branding Plus+ option.

 

Once you reach here, you will have three options to set up your own branding.

 

Click on Brand Identity to set up your own brand's logo, favicon, and brand color.

 

  • Uploading Brand Logo

Where are they displayed?: Your logo will be used in your Invoices, Proposals, Client Portal, Display Picture of the Account, and more.

 

Just click on the "upload" or the image placeholder to upload your logo, as shown below:

 

 

✍️ Note: You can use JPEG, PNG, or other image formats for your logo. Avoid blurry images, and use sharp and clear images. PNG images with transparent backgrounds are recommended.

 

  • Upload your Favicon

Where it is displayed? It is displayed as an icon in the address bar of the browser.

 

Just click on the "upload" or the image placeholder to upload your logo, as shown below:

 

✍️ Note: You need to upload the logo of size: 32x32 the format to be used is JPEG or PNG. Avoid blurry images, and use sharp and clear images. PNG images with transparent backgrounds are recommended.

  • Choosing Brand Color

You can choose your brand color from the color picker or you can directly write the hex color code of the brand color.

 

 

 

  • Save Changes

2. How to Setup a Custom Domain

  • Customize the URLs for your workspace

You can map your existing domain to Clientjoy, to do so follow the steps detailed below

 

Navigate to settings. Choose Branding+

 

Click on Custom Domain (Customise the URLs) to set up your own brand's logo, favicon, and brand color.

 

Create a Cname in your DNS setup

Firstly you need to create a CNAME inside your DNS Cpanel and map it with Clientjoy's Domain.

 

You need to choose a domain or subdomain on which you want to run your workspace.

 

💡 Tip: We highly recommend you use your subdomain for this.

 

For Example, your website address is abcagency.com and you want this as your custom domain: crm.abcagency.com

 

Then you need to create a cname as CRM as shown below:

 

Know that each service provider has a different way of adding a CNAME record. Click on the links below to access their step by step guide for the same-

If your service provider is not listed above please search their help center or ask their support for instructions on how to add a CNAME record.

 

Once you know how that can be done inside your Cpanel, you need to map Clientjoy's domain in the target for that CNAME entry: hosting.clientjoy.io

 

You can copy the domain address from your custom domain settings here:

 

✍️ Note: Once the CNAME entry is complete, note that it might take up to 48 hours for your domain to point to Clientjoy.

 

Map your domain inside the Clientjoy Branding+ setting

Once done with the CNAME mapping, enter your domain name inside your Clientjoy's Branding+ setting and click the "Connect my domain" button, as shown below:

 

Doing so will verify and ensure that the domain name is entered correctly and pointing to the right CNAME. You'll get a success message if the mapping is done correctly.

 

You will also get a preview of how your domain will look in various modules of Clientjoy, like Your workspace login, Client portal login, Proposal public link, Invoice public link, etc.

 

✍️ Note: If the system throws an error while verifying, please ensure that the above steps have been followed correctly, else please contact the service provider of your CNAME. Please connect with your developer for any assistance, or else contact your domain service provider.

 

Our system will map your domain with Clientjoy and will add an SSL certificate to your domain to secure it. This can take some time (max 2 hours). Keep checking your entered domain name on a new device or in incognito mode of your browser to know if the setup is complete.

 

Once your setup is complete, you'll see Clientjoy's login page with your branding on your entered domain.

 

3. How to Setup SMTP

 

Click on SMTP settings (Custom email address for outgoing emails) to set up your SMTP to send outgoing emails for your Proposals, Invoices, System Reminders, invite, etc. using your own email address instead of default email i.e Clientjoy (contact@clientjoy.io).

 

Update Sender Details

Firstly you will need to set up the sender details, where you add the Sender Name and Reply-to email address which will be visible to the user who received the email.

 

As shown below, once you add these details, click the "Update Sender" button to save the changes and you can also test the email by sending a test email to your email address.

 

✍️ Note: "Send test email to myself" will send the email on your registered workspace email.

 

SMTP Settings (Outgoing email address configuration)

Here you need to set up your email which will be used for outgoing communications apart from emails that are sent from the mailbox.

 

As guided earlier, by default these emails go from contact@clientjoy.io

To set up your email, firstly choose your email service provider in the settings:

 

You can select the from one of the options provided here:

 

Once you select the any service provider, below details like Host, Port, Encryption will be auto-filed.
