How to send emails using custom SMTP settings?
You can add your own custom SMTP credentials in Clientjoy to send emails from your brand's email account.
Here are the steps:
1 . To set up custom SMTP, navigate to the settings page. Open the Branding+ menu from the side navigation of the settings page.
2 . Scroll down to SMTP settings. Mark the toggle on for "send an email by using my SMTP details".
3 . You'll need the following details of your email account. You can find them by looking for options like SMTP settings for Gmail/Outlook/Sendinblue etc.
Service: Email services like Gmail, Hotmail, Sendinblue, ETC which you use to send the emails.
Mail Host: Mail host like smtp.sendgrid.net for Send grid
Mail Port: Port number of the mail host.
Mail Encryption: Choose between the SSL and TLS mail encryption.
User Name: Enter the email address you want to send the email from, in most cases, it's going to be your email id e.g email@example.com
Password: Your email password or as per the information shared by your email provider.
Sender Name: This is the From Name in your email. This can be your or your company's name or your name.
Reply to email: Email on which you want to receive the replies. In some cases, clients do reply to the emails sent by the system so it's a good practice to have a reply-to email address.
3 . After you have added all the details click "Save and Send Test Email". If your configuration is correct an email will be sent to your email account from your new configuration.
Do not forget to mark the toggle on for "Send emails using my SMTP details".
Here you go! Now all the emails that are sent to your clients will be sent using your SMTP details with your own branding.

Emails sent with SMTP:
Payment reminders emails
You can find the list of all such emails in Settings > Email Templates as you can also set content for these emails.
An email notification that is received by you or your team members will be sent by Clientjoy's email. E.g. password reset email.
Emails that are NOT sent with SMTP:
Mailbox emails ( Those are sent from your work/personal email which is set up in the Mailbox )
