How to connect and receive payments through Stripe?

Stripe is the most popular premium payment gateway for Easy Digital Downloads and it's the most preferred option.

1) How to connect your Stripe account, if your Bank account is linked?

 

Here is how you can connect Stripe with Clientjoy:

  • Navigate to Settings

  • From Settings choose Payment methods from the side menu and click on Stripe.

 

  • This will open a modal window to connect your Stripe account as shown below.

     

    Note 📝 - If you are connecting your Stripe account with live credentials, please make sure that the test mode is disabled before connecting.

     

     

     

  • Click on Connect Stripe Account

     

     

  • This will redirect you to the Stripe page where you can enter the email associated with Stripe to log in to your Stripe account. Click on Continue.

     

     

     

  • Enter your Stripe account password and click on Log in.

  • Enter the verification code received on your registered number.

     

     

  • Select the account you would like to connect to Clientjoy and Click on Connect

    .

 

  • That's it 🙌 Your Stripe account is connected to Clientjoy.

  • Add the currencies in which you will collect payments using Stripe as the payment method for your invoices and then click on Save

     

     

  • Tip 💁‍♀️: You can enable the option to select Stripe by default on the invoice to make it your default payment mode to receive payments. Click on Save

     

     


 

2) How to connect your Stripe account, if your Bank account is not linked?

 

Note 📝: In order to receive funds, Stripe makes payouts to your bank account. So you need to link your Bank account to connect Stripe.

  • From Settings choose Payment methods from the side menu and click on Stripe.

 

  • This will open a modal window to connect your Stripe account as shown below.

     

    Note 📝 - If you are connecting your Stripe account with live credentials, please make sure that the test mode is disabled before connecting.

     

     

     

  • Click on Connect Stripe Account

     

     

  • This will redirect you to the Stripe page where you can enter the email associated with Stripe to log in to your Stripe account. Click on Continue.

     

     

     

  • Enter your Stripe account password and click on Log in.

  • Enter the verification code received on your registered number.

     

  • Click on Continue

 

 

  • This will take you to the screen where you can enter your Personal details.

 

Note 📝: You might get different options as per your Country and its regulations.

 

 

  • Next, you will have to enter your Business details and Click on Continue

 

 

  • Enable the option to accept payments from outside your country's currency. Click on Continue.

     

     

     

     

  • Enter your Bank account details for Payouts where you want to receive payments from Stripe and click on Continue.

     

     

     

  • Enter your Customer Support details (This information helps customers recognize your business. Your support information may be visible in payment statements, invoices, and receipts) and click on Continue.

     

     

  • Lastly, you can review the details entered by you. Once reviewed, click on Done. You are now signed in to your Stripe account.

     

 

  • After clicking on Done, you will be redirected to your Clientjoy account's Payment method page.

  • Click again on Stripe and Click on Connect Stripe account

     

    Note 📝: Now that you have linked your Bank account details, you will be able to connect Stripe account.

     

     

  • Select the account you want to connect. Click on Connect.

     

     

     

  • That's it 🙌 Your Stripe account is connected to Clientjoy.

     

     

  • Add the currencies in which you will collect payments using Stripe as the payment method for your invoices and then click on Save
