What you can do with the Client portal?

You can set up a Client Portal to match your brand styling and you can customize the tabs which are visible to your clients.

 

What is the Client Portal Template?

The client Portal template is a default portal that will be visible to all your customer unless you do any customization for any of your specific customers.

Agency can create a template for the client portal to share the documents which need sharing with each client.

How to set up a Client Portal

The client portal will have custom tabs that can be rearranged and set for all and specific clients.

 

Head towards the top navigation panel, click on Clients and in the dropdown you will be able to select the Client Portal.

 

How to set up your Navigation or Custom tabs for a Client?

You can share your documents, videos, resources, websites, reports, etc. through custom tabs in the Client Portal. You can share public links to popular apps like youtube, Google Drive, One Drive, Google data studio, websites, Berry cast, ClickUp, etc.

 

 

How to share a File and Invoices with a Client?

In the client portal, you can share files, proposals, and invoices with your client. Your client will be able to see and review the files, invoices, and contracts you have sent without having to involve you again.

Here is how to do that:

  1. Go to the Client Portal template section

  2. Select the customer you want to send a file

  3. Select the customer and you will be landed on their specific client portal. Once you reach there, select the file option

  4. Click on Add a link or Upload a new file

  5. If you want to share a Google drive link, click on the add link button and paste the link

  6. If you want to share a file, which is in your system, you can straightway upload that by clicking on the Upload a file button.

👉 You don't have to share or upload an invoice manually in the client portal. If you are sending an invoice to your client from the invoice module, it will be automatically shown in the client portal. This is also applicable to the Proposal.

How to set up a custom domain for the Client Portal?

For setting up a custom domain for the Client Portal, you have to go to the Branding+ section and select custom domain.

 

👉 This feature won't be available in Free Plan. This is an Add-on feature that you have to purchase separately.

 

Once you enter the custom domain section, you have to map your Cname properly and your custom domain will set up.

 

 

How to set up custom CSS and custom script?

While Creating the Client portal, we will be able to add custom CSS and a custom script to make your client portal more aligned to your own branding, logo, and color.

 

Use of Custom Scripts

Custom scripts are used to customize your Client Portal by adding Custom Scripts of Third-party Tools to add Live Chats, Feedback, Analytics, Popup forms, etc.

For example, if you want to embed Google Analytics Script on the Client Portal, you can easily Copy and Paste the script, click on save changes and your script is embodied across the Client Portal.

 

 

Use of Custom Style

You can Customize your Client Pages by adding Custom CSS Styles to make them look the way you want. You now have the capabilities to change the background color, change the color of the button and everything you can do with CSS is now possible.

 

 

How to set up a Client Portal invite email template?

Your clients will receive one email with their login credentials when you invite them to the client portal. You can also personalize that email so that your client has a more cutting-edge experience.

 

Here is how to do that

  1. Go to the settings and click on Email Templates

  2. Once you click on Email Templates, you will have the option to change templates for invoices, proposals, and customers. You guessed it right, you have to click on the customer tab.

  3. Now, you have to click on the edit icon

  4. Now, you can customize the email template as you want, once done, hit the save button.

 

 

How to Invite a Client to Client Portal?

In order to invite your client to the Client Portal, first of all, you have to convert the lead into a customer. 

While converting you will have to fill up a few more details (Optional) to make them as a customer. In this particular process, you will have an option to enable the Client Portal feature for them. Here is how to do it 👇

In the modal window, you will have to turn the toggle on to give your customer client portal access. 

As a next step, you will have to give a password to your client, and they will receive the same update over email. 

All you have to do is a tick on the "Send invitation email with new password...."  option. 

 

How can my client access the Client Portal?

Your client will receive the email invite along with the login credentials. 

Once your Client is login will have access to the client portal with complete branding of the admin's company. The client can view the file uploaded by the admin under the File tab and also upload the file for the admin if required.

How can a client upload or share a file in the Client Portal?

Once your client logged in to the client portal, they will have the tabs on the top navigation bar, from where they will be able to access files, proposals, and invoices shared with them. Along with that, they can upload files as well if required.

They have to click on the files from the top navigation bar

 

As a next step, they have to click on "upload file" to select the desired file from their system to upload it.
